We picked this community because It had 12 levels of care. It was expensive but less than a nursing home and much, much nicer!I would recommend as long as they can afford it. It is a lovely atmosphere with very caring staff.

First of all, the reception we received when we first came to Quarry Hill was amazing. The woman who greeted us was so friendly and upbeat. She told us about the facility and answered all of our questions. We were invited for lunch and several staff members came by and talked to us. All the help staff we saw were very friendly. The facility is clean. You get 3 meals a day, they clean each resident's room once a week, change sheets every week, there's a beauty salon and many spaces for residents to meet together.

We moved my father to the memory care program at Residences at Quarry Hill from Maple Ridge Memory Care. Best decision we made in his care. Quarry Hill’s care is far and away superior to Maple Ridge. He is clean, his apartment is beautiful & very well kept. The staff cater to his unique needs & communication is wonderful. He will uses all the amenities & the community activities are top notch. We are grateful to find Quarry Hill after a horrendous experience at Maple Ridge. This is a photo of my father returning to memory care after a work out & meal in the bistro.

It turns out to be a good place but we really had no other choice. We live in a rural area without many services

I visited this facility We are hoping to move my mother-in-law into The Residence at Quarry Hill. We liked pretty much everything about it. It seemed like it was a good fit for her. We plan to move her into assisted living, but should the need arise for memory care, that's available right there. We met the director, Tanya, and we felt very comfortable with her. The people that we met were all wonderful. They had nice indoor spaces. They had a music room, a theater, lots of little lounge areas, and a game room where people were reading and putting together puzzles. They also offered off-site activities where they took the residents out in a van.

They have caring staff, and it's an excellent facility. We picked this community, because it was close to my home, it had space for my mother when we needed a space, and it looked like a good place to be. The interaction/communication with the staff has been very good.

I had the opportunity to visit a friend who was living at Quarry Hill a few years ago, and was very impressed with the residence. When it came time for me to look at places to live I decided Quarry Hill would be the best fit. I love living here...the surroundings are beautiful, the apartments are a nice size, and the staff is caring and helpful. In addition, I've made some wonderful friends while here. There are also ample opportunities to engage in meaningful activities, such as the book club, exercise programs, etc.

HOWARD The Residence at Quarry Hill
I came to Quarry Hill from the UVM Medical Center. I was there because I broke my hip; it healed nicely but I needed medical assistance, primarily physical and occupational therapy. For two months, every day, I was helped by three physical therapists. These young professional women, who knew their stuff, gently but firmly rehabilitated. In ten weeks, I recovered strength in my hip, moving from a wheelchair to a walker until, at the end of rehab, using a cane. During this rehab, with the help of experienced staff assisting my wife with the decoration of myapartment, I began the task of finding my place in the QH. We all go through this key process of rediscovering oneself. This was successful because of the love and care of every staff person I encountered. Whether med techs, or dining room servers, chefs, cleaning persons, the engagement director, and other administrators, all were courteous in addressing my needs. They have made my residency here a friendly, loving, house.

I visited this facility I toured The Residence at Quarry Hill for my mom. It's very nice and very well kept up. The people are very friendly. It's a very nice facility. The rooms are nice, but I think they're small. They're also well-maintained. The staff are very knowledgeable and very friendly, and they get back to me very quickly with the questions that I had. They have a lot of activities. They have flower arranging, a bridge group, and places where people can assemble puzzles. They also have a kitchen for cooking and a place for people to play board games. They have a whole exercise class and a wellness area where the physical therapists can come. They have a movie theater area, too. They had a lot going on. The dining areas were also very nice.

I visited this facility One of our top choices right now is The Residence at Quarry Hill. We like the layout, we like the amenities, and they had a lot of activities. When we toured, they had us meet with the activity counselor, while in most of the other places, we were just toured around by the executive director or director. So it seemed that at Quarry Hill, they broke it down a little further and showed you a little bit more of what a day might look like, not just by showing you a piece of paper, but by walking around and showing you some of the things they did. So it just seemed a little more personal, honestly. We looked at a 1-bedroom that's 570 square feet. It has a little small kitchenette, a living area, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom off the bedroom. It was quite large with a lot of space and good storage as well, it has good closet space, which some of the other places we've seen didn't have so much of that. They had a refrigerator and a freezer, there was a microwave, and a small cooktop if you wanted to use it. There's plenty of counter space, which is what I've noticed that's different from the other ones. It's more like a regular apartment. The staff who gave the tour was great, she was very attentive to my mother and her needs, and made her feel comfortable. She was by far the best one, which is probably one of the reasons why my mom likes it so much there.

The experience has been okay. The community is expensive, but it is okay. The staff communication is good if the family has questions or concerns. The memory care is a separate entrance and family has to wait up to 10 minutes to get into the area to see our loved one and be admitted by a staff. The food could use more variety for the residents to choose from. There are three meals being served to the resident a day.

The Residence at Quarry Hill are very friendly. My mom likes it there, she loves the people and thinks they're very friendly. They are short-handed, but they make one heck of an effort. The staff are excellent and I'm amazed by how good they are. She has gotten so much better since she's been there. It has been an excellent experience so far. They give fantastic service, but the cost is very high, so you've got to be able to afford it long-term. My mom is in memory care, which is about [price removed] / per month. I think that's a lot, but to provide service like that I guess you've got to pay that much. I would recommend The Residence to others who can afford it, and I'm thankful that my mom can.

The Residence at Quarry Hill is a great place. I'm really glad we found a spot for her there. They've been very friendly and accommodating and seem to take good care of my mother. They do what they can for activities in memory care and go on trips. It's expensive, but it's just what we were looking for. All around it's been a very good move.

The location for this community was too far away for what my loved one wanted. Also the environment that she was used to would have changed due to this communities surroundings.

Reviewer The Residence at Quarry Hill
I visited this facility I toured The Residence at Quarry Hill and looked at the assisted living. It was a very positive experience. The assisted living was pretty well integrated with the independent living as they shared the same spaces. There's a gazebo in front of the building and there were a lot of residents outside. People were having conversations and appeared very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. They were open to questions and talking about their experiences. They were very receptive and gave good answers. They also had a gorgeous dining room with views of the mountains. I think one of the pluses that they had was their dining area is open so people can come at their convenience. It's not just set hours (which was very appealing to us). Their food was delicious, too. They had a lot of outside tours organized (as they could with COVID) to visit local landmarks or have picnics in parks and things like that. So, it felt like there was a lot to keep the residents occupied. I think it was also nice that it had outdoor spaces. There was a place to walk nearby and just the light and spaciousness, and the cleanliness of the place were nice.
